FUTSAL (STREET SOCCER)
1. Format of the tournament: Round robin (World Cup style)
2. Match duration: 2 x 7 minutes with a 2-minutes-break. For semifinals, the match duration will be 2 x 9 minutes with a 2-mins-break. For the final, the match duration will be 2 x 13 minutes with a 5-mins-break.
3. Match ball will be provided by officials. However, each team is encouraged to bring their own ball if possible which might be utilised, subjects to agreement between the playing teams and match officials.
4. Each team’s roster will have 7 players at most with 5 players in the starting line up and 2 substitutes for all matches.
5. No change in personnel is allowed once the tournament kicks off.
6. All players on the field MUST be wearing shoes at all time.
7. If possible, nominate 1 member of the team to help out as official when your team is not involved in a match.
8. Referee’s decision is FINAL. Intimidation, abuse, et cetera will not be tolerated. Show RESPECT and patience for officials as they volunteer for the job as well as members of opposition team. REMEMBER: the objective of the sports festival is for AMAL. DO participate in good spirit of sportsmanship.
Bookings:
1. Serious or repeated foul play
2. Spitting, sliding tackles, and use of abusive insulting offensive language or gestures
3. Denying opposition clear chance on goal by deliberately committing handballs
4. Other offences which officials deem deserving of bookings.
Mechanics of match:
1. Rolling substitution: Inform officials beforehand for substitution.
2. Applicable set pieces: kick in, corner kick, 2-step penalty kick, and goal throw. NO goal kick is allowed. The distance from the point where the set pieces are to be taken is 5 steps.
3. Time stop is only applicable if > 5 seconds is needed during stop play. (eg: fetch ball)
TENNIS
1. All matches will be played in 4 games, deuce format. No tie-breaker. In case of 3-3, the next game is going to be the last game.
2. Warming up session is limited to 2+1 minutes, 2 minutes rally and 1 minutes serving practice.
3. The pair/player that serves first will be decided by coin toss. The pair/player that wins can either choose to serve first or choose to play at which end. If the pair/player chooses the end, the opponents will be serving first.
4. Once the match is started, players playing as receiving end are not allowed to change positions.
5. Ball touching the players’ attire/ body (other than racquet) will result in the player touching the ball to lose a point. This rule also applies during a serve in which the ball hit the receiver’s partner (in this case, even touching the racquet will result in losing point). However, please do not purposely aim for the body. HOA is for charity and not competitive.
6. No time wasting. If an umpire deems that a pair is wasting too much time, he can issue warning to the pair. On the third warning, he can award point to the opposing pair as penalty.
7. Every 2 games, the players/ pairs will switch ends.
8. During a play, racquet crossing the net is allowed as long as the player does not touch the net. Touching the net will result in player touching the net to lose a point.
9. No vulgarities, violence, act of vandalism or any actions that suggest anger. Have fun playing tennis while making new friends.
10. There will be no time-out unless there are unexpected cases such as injuries.
11. No change of player. The pair that is unable to play when the umpires call for the player/pair will be considered as forfeiting that match.
12. The umpires’ decision is final. Please do not intimidate the umpire to change his decision.
TABLE TENNIS
SINGLE
1. This competition adopts a knock-out format.
2. In every match, there will be 3 (three) sets.
3. A player wins the set when he has already collected 11 points, except in the condition where two players reach the score 10-10 (deuce), the game will continue until one of them collects 2 points more than his opponent (e.g. 12-10, 13-11).
4. Each player ends their serve after serving the ball twice, except in deuce condition; each team will serve the ball only once.
5. A player wins his match if he wins 2 out of 3 sets.
6. When serving :
a. the ball must first touch own field of play then cross the net to opponent’s field of play.
b. if the ball touches the net (including its support) and succeeds in crossing to opponent’s field of play, the service will be repeated until a maximum of 3 (three) times. After 3 (three) times, if this condition is still fulfilled, then 1 (one) point will be given to the other side.
c. if the ball touches the net (including its support) but not succeed in crossing to opponent’s field of play, then the opponent gets 1 (one) point.
7. Point criteria :
a. if the opponent is unable to return the ball.
b. if the opponent manages to hit the ball, but the ball does not touch the field of play (out).
c. if the opponent manages to hit the ball, but the ball does not cross over the net.
d. if, after the service, part of the body (hand, stomach, etc) touches the table, 1 (one) point will be awarded to the opposing team.
8. Every participant must bring their own bat. The committee will provide the table and the balls.
DOUBLE

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL
1. Each team consist of 4 people, 3 players and 1 sub
2. Each game will only use half of the court.
3. The duration of the game is 10 minutes, there is no break in between.
4. Team which score a basket inside the three-point line will gain 2 points, outside means they score 3 points. Team who score gets to keep the ball for the next play.
5. A play always starts outside the three point line.
6. While starting a play, a player needs to “check” with the opponent first before dribbling or passing.
7. On defensive rebounds or steals, players must get the ball across the three point line first before attempting to score a basket. Once across the line, they do not have to pass the ball
8. before shooting.
9. Any player may convert an offensive rebound.
10. A foul is called if a player “travelled” or resort to violence during a game and the opposing team will start a play.
11. Substitutions may be made after a basket or an out of bounds play.
CAPTAIN’S BALL
Venue: PGP Basketball Court
System: Round Robin (3 groups: each group 3 teams, winner from each group proceed to final round)
Calculation of points: 3 points for a win, 1 point for draw
Rules:
1. A team consists of 6 players with 1 sub
2. Within each team there should be at least 2 players of different gender e.g. 2 girls and 4 guys or vice versa.
3. The game duration will be 10 minutes, no break in between
4. A team will get 1 point if a guy manages to pass the ball to their respective “captain” and 2 points if a girl scores.
5. The captain should catch the ball with both feet in contact with the chair he/she is standing on and the ball must be firmly gripped with both hands for 2 seconds; otherwise the point is not valid.
6. Player holding the ball is not allowed to move from his position; a maximum of 1 step is allowed after the player catches the ball.
7. While defending, opponents can get closer to block the attacking player but no physical contact is allowed between the 2 opposing teams. A foul will be called if there is too much physical contact.
8. Defender cannot knock the ball off the captain’s hands when he (the captain) is still trying to grab the ball.
9. The referee’s decision is absolute in the game.
10. The ball is considered out of bound if the player who is holding it steps on the line or outside the line of the pitch. The opposing team will then get to start the play from the side of the pitch.
11. If the defender blocks the throw and the ball ended up outside the pitch behind the captain, there will be no “corner throw”. Instead the game will restart from the defending team.
12. The team who scored the most wins the game.

BADMINTON

1. 1 game 21 points.
2. A point is given if the player/the side who win the respective rally is the server.
3. The player/side who won the rally will restart the next rally.
If there is a just (20-20), player/side who gain 2 points over the other team will win the game.

4. Only 1 set of game will be played except for semi-final and final the match will use best of 3 sets.
Single
1. When game is 0-0 and everytime the score of the server is even, serve is done from the right service court. If score is odd, serve from left service court.
2. Player who starts the serve and wins the rally will gain 1 point and will serve for the next rally; player needs to change service court.
3. Player who receives serve and win the rally will get 1 point and will serve for the next rally; the service court depends on whether their scores are odd/even.
Double
1. For first serve and every even score, player will start serving from right service court. Odd score from the left service court.
2. The side who start serve and win the rally will gain 1 point and the same player who serve for that rally will serve again for the next rally, but he/she need to change service court.
3. The side who receives serve and win the rally will get 1 point and serve for the next rally is done from the service court according to their scores.
4. Even is right and odd is left.
5. Every player will remain in his service court until they win rally in which they start the serve.
6. The turn to serve will be done just like the table shown below.
*Any confusion about the correct service court, player can ask the ref to guide them to the correct position.
Conclusion:
Service court only changes when the side who start the serve win the rally. This is to ensure each player has equal chance to serve.
